Rory (pictured here on the right) was my very first Birman, he came into my life at the end of June 1997, and little did I know that his arrival would completely change my life. I had wanted a Birman for a very long time, but my husband was dead against the idea. To cut a very long story short, three months later, Rory was joined by Harry (pictured left). Their story was printed in 'Your Cat' magazine in January 2001. (Although it was actually written 3 years before that). If you would like to read it click on the link below.
Rory and Harry in 1998 It wasn't long before I was thinking it would be rather nice to have a little female Birman. Enter Chloe:
And Chloe's kittens.....
By now I had really been bitten by the 'Birman bug' and decided that breeding Birmans was something that I really wanted to do.
MEET MAX
There is an interloper in the Birsarus Birman camp - he is Max, (Classicoon
Birsarus Max) a blue tabby and white Maine Coon, who
did very well on the
showbench as a kitten. He came to live with us in May
2003. He gained two Premier Certificates in two
consecutive shows at 17 months. We haven't shown him since as he dislikes
all the show preparation. |
